General
No. It uses standard wa.me links, which open a chat in the WhatsApp app or WhatsApp Web with a message pre-filled. There's no API key, no approval process, and no per-message cost.
No — it adds an alternative ordering path alongside your existing checkout. Customers who prefer to order through WhatsApp get a button; everyone else can still use your normal cart and checkout exactly as before.
Country code followed by the number, digits only — no spaces, dashes, or the leading +. A South African number like 082 123 4567 should be entered as 27821234567.
Yes. The message is only pre-filled — WhatsApp always opens with it sitting in the compose box, editable, before it's sent.
Pro & Multi-vendor
Per-vendor WhatsApp routing (each seller's products go to their own number instead of one store-wide number), grouped multi-vendor cart buttons when a cart spans several sellers, automatic Dokan/WCFM store-number detection, and a WhatsApp Order Log that creates a real WooCommerce order the moment a customer taps the button.
Normally, once a shopper's message is sent, WooCommerce has no idea it happened — if the chat gets lost, that's it. Pro creates a real order in a "WhatsApp Order" status the instant the button is clicked, so it's sitting in WooCommerce → Orders waiting for you, even before the customer finishes typing. It doesn't capture their name or address — those still only exist inside WhatsApp — but the items, quantities, and which number it went to are all there.
Dokan and WCFM Marketplace both auto-detect that vendor's own store phone number as a fallback if you haven't set a number in our own vendor field. WC Vendors auto-detection isn't built in yet — you can still set a number manually per vendor in the meantime.
Pro is R36.99/month, with a yearly option, handled through our licensing provider (Freemius). You can cancel any time from your account there.
Security & Privacy
No. Lite builds the WhatsApp link entirely on your own site and the customer's browser — nothing is sent to us or any third party. See our privacy policy for details on what Pro's licensing system collects.
Every setting is capability-checked and nonce-protected, and it was built against WooCommerce's current block-based cart from the start rather than patched on afterward.
